Jeannine Haas

Jeannine Haas received her Ed.D, in Creativity and Human Development from the University of Massachusetts and her B.A. in Theatre from Smith College. Jeannine was a Performing Arts Teacher at Athol Middle School for several years. She has been a teacher and performer with Sleeveless Theater, a faculty member at Shallcross Creativity Institute, and a course instructor, researcher and author at the University of Massachusetts.

Jeannine is a member of the Actors Equity Association and performs with New Century Theatre, Northampton, The Majestic Theater, West Springfield, James Wolpaw Film, Boston, Ko Festival, Amherst to name just a few.

Jeannine, in various after school environments, has worked with the adolescent population in areas of theatre, play production, creative writing and GED preparation. Jeannine is the co-founder of Project South Africa, an initiative to further women’s education through the use of drama in the Pietermaritzburg area of South Africa.

Jeannine joined ECT in the fall of 2001, and perfroms in FROM PAGE TO STAGE: A Reader’s Theater, THE SKINNER SERVANT’S TOUR: A Living History of Wistariahurst, BETWEEN THE CANALS: The Evolution of a Mill Town and LEAH ENTERS LATE: A New Page in the Story of Yiddish. Jeannine is the co-creator and performer in A BULLET CAN’T KILL A DREAM: Tales of Courageous Acts by Children.
