Tony Jones is a professional actor, director, and teaching artist from Baltimore, Maryland. He attended the prestigious Baltimore School for the Arts as a theater major, and completed his B.A. in Theatre and French at Eckerd College.
Tony joined ECT in 2011 and facilitates arts integration work in public schools, in juvenile detention, in community-based settings, and with parent engagement programs. His passion for social justice theater has defined his work as a teaching and performing artist. With ECT, Tony has worked in several DYS settings, with youth in foster care, and with adults who have previously been incarcerated, and in treatment programs through regional Sheriff’s Departments. Tony received certification from the Five Colleges Intergroup Dialogue program to facilitate workshops on race, gender, and social advocacy. Tony has worked professionally as an actor, director, adviser, and arts education specialist around the country for the past twenty years.
