Celine Hamilton Quill
Celine Hamilton Quill is the Director of Programming and Operations and is the master of the day-to- day operations here at ECT. She has served in a leadership capacity in both the public and private sectors of the Early Childhood field and non-profit management for over 20 years.
Before joining ECT in 2001, Celine worked as a teacher, director, resource and referral consultant, program administrator and early childhood consultant. Celine holds an Elementary Education degree from England and a Bachelor of Arts from UMASS Amherst.
As a member of the leadership team, Celine is a responsible for the day-to- day management of ECT programming from contact, contract, to program execution. As a front-line liaison, she builds, nurtures and cultivates ECT relationships with administrators, schools, community and social service organizations. She is the queen of details and thrives on all the logistical nitty gritty that go into each and every ECT classroom residency, professional production, parent literacy and engagement program, professional development workshop and community collaboration.
Celine provides ongoing curriculum support and professional development to ECT TA’s. If it’s a teaching artist that needs support with a lesson plan or the acquisition of a particular curriculum material or a book to deepen the arts integration work of ECT, or an ECT residency or production that requires a speedy procurement of a costume or prop piece, or a fellow community organization who needs a sounding board or to borrow one of ECT’s signature props, Celine is behind the transaction with her organization, grace, and resourceful wisdom. Celine is also the resident photographer here at ECT, and can be frequently found in the classroom, parent literacy workshop, youth program or a professional development workshop, lying on the floor, standing on a chair, or peeking through a doorway, to get just the right image of students and teachers engaged in the ECT creative process.
Celine lives in Granby with her husband Jim and their two teenage children. Celine plays an active role in her children’s schools and her larger hometown community. Besides her love of photography, reading and the great outdoors, she loves to travel and is a frequent visitor to England, where her fabulous family still resides.
