Steve Angel is Enchanted Circle’s Office Manager and Development Associate. He received his BA in Theater and History from Hampshire College. He has worked in non-profit management for over twenty years, focusing on customer service and visitor experience. At The Eric Carle Museum, he grew auditorium programming and created The Carle’s highly successful wedding rental program. In 2012, Steve moved into the corporate sector as Office Manager for CommunicateHealth, a startup focused on plain language in health and insurance publications. In 2 years, he helped it grow from a $750,000 company with 9 employees to a $4 million company with 40 employees.
In 2008 he cofounded The August Theater Company and in 2012 he received stage combat training from the Society of American Fight Directors.
Steve first began working with Enchanted in 2000 when he researched, co-authored, and performed in Between the Canals: The Evolution of a Mill Town. In 2017, Steve co-wrote the Enchanted production, The Recognition of Inherent Dignity: Women Change Makers in the Progressive Era for the NEH Women Making Change Summer Institute held at Wistariahurst Museum, Holyoke.
