Jennifer Sitron

JenniferJennifer Sitron is a visual artist and arts educator whose teaching roots began over 20 years ago at Jewish summer camp and Hebrew school where she learned how to create playful spaces. After receiving joint degrees in Visual Art and Jewish History from Columbia University and The Jewish Theological Society she received an MFA in photography from Hunter College. Then, as a certified art teacher she taught at an alternative high school in Brooklyn, NY for five years.  Since moving to Western Mass, she has discovered the fiber arts through Waldorf education and now wet felts to her heart’s content. In 2015, she co-founded Plunge Arts, which creates art programming for Girls, Inc. of Holyoke which has been awarded the Carlos Vega Fund Grant for four consecutive years. And most recently, as an assistant costumer at Deerfield Academy where her felted art pieces have made their way into a costume or two. Jennifer joined Enchanted Circle Theater as a Teaching Artist in 2020.
